The Starving Artist is thrilled to invite talented and passionate artists to participate in the upcoming virtual exhibition and publication, “Not Another Fish in the Sea.”

This unique showcase will explore the critical issues surrounding ocean conservation and marine/fish protection. “Not Another Fish in the Sea” seeks to shed light on the pressing challenges faced by the oceans and marine life.

Artists are encouraged to express their perspectives through various mediums, highlighting the beauty, struggles, and importance of conservation in the oceans.

    • Showcase the beauty and diversity of marine life, fostering a deeper understanding of the importance of conservation.

    • Illuminate the unique challenges faced by marine life, such as overfishing, pollution, and habitat destruction.
  • Activism + Empowerment
    • Share any artworks that inspire action and emphasize the need for collective responsibility in protecting our oceans.

Artists are encouraged to explore diverse artistic mediums, that can be displayed in a Virtual Gallery Space including but not limited to:

  • Painting, drawing, and illustration
  • Sculpture and installation (Images of work)
  • Photography and digital art
  • Mixed media and collage
  • Performance and interactive art
  • Video art and animation

Eligibility Criteria

  • Locations: Global submissions welcomed
  • Ages: Open to artists of all 13+ due to sensitive topics
  • Number of works: Each artist may submit up to 10 pieces
