Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is seeking applications for the Caroline von Humboldt Award 2024.
It is one of the most highly endowed prizes of its kind in Germany. The prize is aimed at young female academics who completed their doctorate no more than seven years ago and who do not hold a full professorship. The prize money is intended to enable the award winner to carry out a research project as part of a research stay at the Humboldt University (“Scientist in Residence”).
Funding Information
- The Caroline von Humboldt Award (CvH Award), which is endowed with €15,000, is awarded annually to an excellent junior researcher from Germany or abroad. A professor from a university or non-university research institution in Germany or abroad can nominate her or him for this prestigious award.
Criteria
- The prize is open to (international) young female scientists whose doctorate doctorate no longer than seven years ago (plus 2 years per child if applicable) and who do not hold a full professorship.
- Proposals for the award must be submitted by professors from university and non-university research institutions as well as universities of applied sciences.
- In addition, written consent must be given for the of the junior researcher to the respective research project or to the respective Humboldt University (Please note: a research stay at the Charité is not possible).
