They seek to fund projects that demonstrate a clear commitment to addressing societal challenges while aligning with one or more of the 17 SDGs set forth by the United Nations.

  • Amount: USD50,000 to be distributed among 33 selected UPG Sustainability Leaders

What they Seek?

  • They are searching for projects that embody the following PRISMS attributes:
    • Partnership & Collaboration: Illustrate your strategy in collaborating with stakeholders who share similar goals.
    • Realistic Timelines: A realistic timeline for project implementation after which the impact is achieved. Timelines can be short or long, but they must be clear.
    • Impact: Projects must be designed in a way touch the lives of people. Where a project is designed in a way that it is possible to identify the number of people reached, this is an advantage. In some years, there may be a thematic are prioritised for impact, if this is the case, then
    • SDG-Relevant: Clearly indicate how your project aligns with one or multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
    • Methodology: Stronger projects have a methodology that leads to effective and efficient implementation
    • Scalability & Replicability: Those projects that can be scaled or can be replicated (or both), will have an advantage.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Certified UPG Sustainability Leaders from all backgrounds and nations are eligible to apply if they’ve completed at least one mini-training session or have trained a minimum of 20 citizens.
